The setting where the poster is set is on the street at night. This could also link back to title of the film which dark and mysterious. The main character was chosen to be on the poster to represent the film. The poster gives us an idea of what the film could contain and also informs us the genre of the film. The only lighting used is placed on the characters face and body. This is so that he draws the audience's attention.
